There is more to the story than you provided us with. According to the law it is only feeding homeless people in parks which draw them away from shelters and care facilities. There is nothing that prohibits people from helping them at shelters, and other places which are set up to help them.
I am not totally sure I favor this law, but the whole truth needs to be told before everybody goes out to hang the Las Vegas city council.
Part of the problem appeared to be the homeless people congregating in neighborhoods around the parks, and denying use of the park to the citizens who would enjoy them.

The regulation says that prostitution isn't allowed the place the inhabitants is 250,000 or larger, e.g. Washoe County/Reno and Clark County/Las Vegas. those people who're passing out the escort centers suggestion however the closest criminal bordello is in Pahrump in Nye County an hour force away. Many some years in the past prostitute did openly grant their commerce to vacationers yet this is now no longer the case. those escort centers are a come-in and can or won't grant different intimate centers, in spite of the undeniable fact that it is not unparalleled that those females have been arrested. Vegas can't end the handout because of the 1st modification staggering of loose speech. confident, Vegas is an extraordinarily extensive-unfold holiday spot yet for the two ladies and men. If a male comes thinking he might desire to partake in such centers, he would be in for a impolite awakening.

I hate to sound like a hardass but the law makes sense. Vegas cannot afford to allow the homeless to wander the streets begging for food. If this were allowed the word would get out that there were aggressive panhandlers who were bothering people and tourists would stop coming. The the entire economy of Las Vegas would suffer.

I have very little sympathy for the "homeless" in Las Vegas. It is one of the richest cities in the world and the casinos and related industries are struggling to obtain employees.

I am in my late thirties but I have a youthful appearance which makes me appear to be in my late 20's. While making the rounds in the casinos I was approached in almost every stop by a manager wishing to hire me. If I was a young man just leaving college I would have to consider looking in Vegas for employment.

If you are homeless in this environment then you have only yourself to blame.

It's difficult for me to believe that any cop would arrest someone for giving food to a homeless person, even if that dorky law is passed. But I guess it could happen.

If you think Las Vegas has a homeless problem, visit San Francisco sometime.

The reason behind that law is to prevent the homeless from becoming ill from food that isn't prepared properly, or is mishandled in the process of handing it out. I don't necessarily agree with it, but I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of a lawsuit if I were helping people.

I think Vegas is pretty Republican oriented. Vegas always impressed me as being rather plastic anyway. Fun to visit but it would be difficult to live there.
