I think Green Day has some strong similarities, but I never heard them make a statement to that effect (just my opinion).

It's hard to list a modern band who is NOT influenced by the Clash. Living End, Green Day, Rancid, those are certainly some good clear answers. In general though, there are hundreds of bands who fit that bill.
