I think that you must and should be happy with your downloading speed. We are happy with internet downloading speed of 25 Kb. If we get more we are happy and if less than 25 Kb we are not sad.

I have a 10 megabit (1.25 megabyte) downloading and about 1 megabit (12 kilobyte) uploading. The actual download speed depends on who/where you are downloading from. Some limit the speed you can download at and sometimes it depends on the load on the server you are trying to download from.
1.1 megabit = 140.8 kilobyte
If you go to google and type in what you want converted it will do it for you.

download speed varies according to several factors: conjestion of your server and the server downloading from, the available ram at the time of download, bandwidth limitations of the servers, your hardware capabilites, etc.
You will probably never reach such a speed for a single download this speed is most likely your bandwidth allocation. Meaning that you can theoretically download several files at once consuming 1.1mbs total bandwidth.
180kbs is a pretty good speed which equates to about 23 kilobytes per second, compared to dial-up speeds of 2 to 5 kbs downloads equating to about 256 to 640 bytes per second. that's a pretty fair difference.

upload velocity is only a component once you're importing new video clips to your YouTube channel, no longer gazing video clips. Run Speedtest. try it for servers in distinctive places. while you're no longer getting the ten Mb you're meant to, ***** to your ISP. in the experience that your acquire speeds are solid, and the subject is for many web content, there could be a controversy mutually with your pc. test it for viruses and malware. sparkling junk off your difficultcontinual and defragment it. See in case you have classes working interior the historic past which you do no longer want.

my max is 314 kb/s. when the internet companies tell you 1.1mb/s they mean megaBITS per second as opposed to megaBYTES per second. a byte is several times bigger then a bit, im sure if you look around you will find some information regarding this.

Yeah they tell you its 1.x megaBITS. However 8 bits=1 byte so you do the math.
