I'm not sure, but I believe you can have an ultrasound as soon as you know you're pregnant, though I'm not sure that'd do a lot of good! I had one done at 7 weeks, which is when I found out I was pregnant. They did a blood test and the Doc said it would take a while to come back. I didn't want to have to go home and stew waiting to find out so she said she could do an ultrasound to know for sure. Gave me a due date. Supposedly, the earliest ultrasound EDD (Estimated Due Date) from the first ultrasound in other words , is the most accurrate. I also had one at 16 weeks, where they checked to make sure all baby's parts were there and told me it was a boy. And I had another at 20 weeks because I was a high risk pregnancy and they wanted to check on things.

I was 6 weeks 4 days with my first u/s because I was having complications. That early you can really only tell whether or not you're pregnant, and how many embryos there are. I was also able to hear the heartbeat which was totally amazing because the baby didn't even look like anything yet!

10 weeks is what the ultrasound said. So I'm going by that. The estimated due date said 13 so it wasn't to far off.

My insurance only covers 1 ultrasound unless there are complications, so I had mine at 20 weeks. I was able to learn so much about my son it was awesome.

I had my first u/s i was 18wks. They told me how big baby was, that baby had all the normal features and no abnormal ones, when baby was due according to how big baby was, that the spine was perfectly formed, that baby didn't seem to have any genetic "abnormalities".. they could have told me the sex too IF baby had uncrossed its legs (which baby did not do! LOL).
Basically they told me baby was perfectly healthy and i got some cute pics out of it!!

6 weeks. They can tell whether or not your pregnant, and if its in the right place. They can also tell if there are more than one.
