my school has a senior paper that the seniors have to do each year, but they are changing it this year so we also have to a senior progect, which is basically a presentation of our senior paper (a long research paper on a topic of our choice) in any form we think is right. Some (of the art people) are doing a series of paintings, others ar writing a song, some people are doing scientific research, all kinds of stuff.

I'm no longer in school, but the school I went to and my children go to does have a senior project...It is called Project Graduation.
BTW ... I live in a small town and that is something the whole community pulls together for. What ever the seniors are doing to raise money, everyone helps out. From steak dinners to dances and riffle auctions. (lots of hunters in the area)

My school has tons of traditions. There's the senior wall, which is a giant wall that the seniors have to design and paint before the year is over. I'm not quite sure what else they're still brewing up! And the middle school is trying to form some traditions; the main idea is a time capsule, but they still aren't sure.

in our state they have whats called a cumilating project, and high school and beyond plan. basically they start in 9th grade and decide what they want to do with their lives and have to volunteer in that field for so many hours and do a huge presentation in front of a panel of judges. i think its a a bunch of crap, but then again so is the WASL

Well when I went to school all Seniors were required to make a portfolio before they could graduate. If they didn't make it then the students couldn't graduate and wouldn't get their diplomas even if their grades were really good. The portfolio basically was two references, two essays, a resume, and two letters from two teachers.
