depending on your activity, yes. most new programs require some sort of graphic acceleration. if your card is too slow this sctivity would put a larger strain on your processor, slowing everything down. the graphic/video card's purpouse is to take work off of the processor and make things pretty. possibly. if the CPU or motherboard has to convert things to an older "language" but i doubt it, but a new one would certainly improve performance

nope... they don't got nothing to do with the speed... they only got to do with the quality of the output image wise.
