Some scientists think that life may have first evolved on a warmer, wetter Mars, which cooled down to tolerable levels before Earth, then, when a large meteor struck Mars, debris containing life was blasted into an Earth intersecting trajectory, where it could have broken up on impact with the atmosphere and landed in seas or tidal pools, giving life to the Earth. That would make us all Martians!

There's no way to know at this time. Even if the orbiters or the rovers find liquid water, that discovery may very well say something about the past on Mars - but not the past on Earth.
Probably the only way we'll get some definitive information is if we send astronauts there to live in a semi-permanent base and take their time collecting materials and performing experiments.
It doesn't seem as though any country is making plans to do that, unfortunately.

Yes, I think there is. It is quite possible life evolved on Mars a long time ago, and then transferred to Earth. So, in effect, we could be direct descendants of life from Mars !

It's possible but the Moon is far more likely to hold direct answers to earths past than Mars. Interestingly NASA is far more interested in mars than the moon, I don't really understand why.

yes, life moved to mars from earth when the martian magnetic field deteriorated and caused the martian atmosphere to get blown away by solar winds, the planet mars then became uninhabitable, so they moved to earth, then something happened where they all forgot where they came from and the knowledge of the ancient technology disappeared, so now we have to start all over, he he
