I am a very nervous, newly pregnant woman. I started getting sick at week five, was sick weeks 6-7, and I am starting to feel better now that I have hit eight weeks. Is this too early? I still have an acidic stomach, but no more vomiting, and I am worried that the decrease in nausea means there might be a problem.

My morning sickness started at 10 weeks and stopped 12 weeks exactly. I had a relatively short period so far. Women vary and when they start or stop is different. Generally it stops about the second trimester but some people have morning sickness all through some stop sooner than others. Also, certain changes in diet can affect morning sickness as well. Have you eaten less spicy or greasy foods? Do you drink sprite or ginger ale? If not consider yourself lucky. But, if you feel worried, it wouldn't hurt to give your doctor a call and ask. Believe me, I think they know my name by heart :). I'm not as worried now and they were willing to answer my questions with no problems. It might give you a little bit of relief. I would not worry to much. If you have cramping and bleeding please go to the doctor as soon as you can. Congrats on your pregnancy.

Every woman is different. I'm pregnant for the second time and can't stop vomiting or feeling nauseous. With my first, tomatoes made me sick and pretty much everything else. I think I read every book and made about 5 trips to the doctors office within the 1st month alone. I'd say its normal. I felt good after the 3rd month then the fun stuff really begins. But if you must consult a doctor. Oh congratulations!!!

Don't worry. when morning sickness stops is variable from woman to woman. Some women are sick the whole time, and some never, ever sick. Commonly, morning sickness stops at about 3mos or so. But again, anything is possible. Don't worry about the health of your growing baby based on your morning sickness. There have been some fleeting studies that tried to link degree and length of morning sickness to "health" of the fetus and pregnancy, but they are not predictable. Your best knowledge for knowing how the pregnancy is going is consults with your OBGYN. If you happen to be particularly worried for some reason, you could request an ultrasound to gauge the health of your baby.

My extreme fatigue and morning sickness left at 3mos, as was predicted. But I had heart palpitations the whole time!!!

Good luck to you, and please discuss your fears/concerns with your dr.

I only felt nauseous from week 4 to week 10 or 11. i fortunately never threw up and believe that the sicker you are the more likely you are to have a girl. It seemed to be true for most people i know then again there will be plenty of people that will tell you otherwise.

I am 35 weeks now and feeling pretty good. Tired from the peeing and not sleeping well but generally pretty good.

Don't worry, you and the baby are fine. Morning sickness is caused by many factors. Your body is now stabalizing from the change in hormones, the new life inside you, and your nerves. I threw up in the labor room with my first child but, by child three I felt nauseated a couple of weeks then nothing. That child weighed 8lbs.131/2oz.

I believe it's normal for most morning sickness to slow down between 8-12 weeks. Don't stress.

I had morning sickness from 6-16 weeks. Morning sickness can come and go it just depends on your hormones, it doesn't mean there is a problem.

I puked from the time i was 2 months until the day i had my son. It was so awful. No meds helped me or anything.
I threw up morning, noon and night and all in between.
If i were you i would be happy to not be puking my guts out.
Some women don't even have morning sickness and have healthy babies. No 2 pregnancies are alike.
Good luck and Congrats
