We may have to "leave them" and let them fend for themselves.
That would be a major wake up call to take charge of their lives

If the Armed Services and the President don't know, do you really believe someone on Answers will ?!!!
I will say this, it takes longer to learn new ways when you have lived under an oppressive regime for so long. Not to excuse anybody, but you can't leave that out of the equation.
People who have not lived a free life have a harder time making choices for themselves when the opportunity finally comes around.
It is a completely different mind set, and that doesn't happen overnight, especially when so many members of that society are in a perpetual state of PTSD.

The Iraqi's need to recover from the "lessons" in "democracy" the US has been teaching them first. It took almost 2,000 years for the West to get out from under the shadow of Christianity to take *some* responsibility. I think the Iraqi's will be quicker than that.

i hope soon...cause my husband has had two back to back tours....and they need to stop holding their hand and let them kinda take the lead...not saying we should leave them all together....but slowly start giving them to responsibilty of handling their country and government and not always running back to us when they make a mistake....when you fall get up and try again...but yet we baby that country.....let them get training and help to a certain point then....theyre on their own....i mean when you start a new job....does your boss stay there explaining everything to you time after time and doing your work for you while you watch ??? uh no...he expects you to pick it up after the first or second time and get better with time.

FIRST THE FFF-IN UNITED STATES SUPPLIES SADAM HUSSEIN WITH ALL THE CHEMICAL - AND CONVENTIONAL WEAPONS HE WANTS TO HAVE.......
THEN, WHEN HE STARTS USING THEM THE FFF-IN UNITED STATES DOESN'T LIKE THEY START A WAR....
THEN SOMETHING HAPPENS (11-9) WHICH HE HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FFF-IN UNITED STATES START AN OTHER WAR.
