I am 20 and I have had my period for three weeks.....the month before that I had it for two weeks......what can cause this?

It could be something called polycystic ovarian syndrome. You should have your doctor check it out.

i dont want to scare you or anything, just thought i'd let you know what was wrong with me when i had a 3 week period.. i found out that i was pregnant but had miscarried! I just thought i was having an extended period but apparently not! I had no idea i was pregnant to start with. So maybe thats something u can look into as the cause of your bleeding.. but i hope for your sake that its not!! Good luck

Many things can cause it but you need to see your doc to find out what is going on.

this is caused by a tumor or cyst inside the uterus or cervix. you are young so you have to consult an ob-gyne to be sure of your health.

quite possibly endometriosis. You need to go to a doctor.
