A lot of times women feel such low self-esteem when a man pays all the bills (even if she works her butt off in the house) that they enable the men to think that way. Women just need to stand up for themself in this situation and not put up with that crap!

In a way they do they no over the years of rising the kids cooking the dinners washing the clothes cleaning the house trying to keep him happy in bed so he won't replace you with a younger woman the list goes on and on and on.All we want is a little TLC and appreciation and understanding.What we do get is, what do you do all day or I just gave you money what did you do with it or why ain't dinner ready when I come home.We put up with it because as the years past they no they have us right were they want us.What are we going to do move back in with mommy and daddy they no we wouldn't do that and we have no money or not enough to get are own apartment so they have us right were they want us and they like it that way.

My husband works and pays the bills, but there is no way in gods earth that I will ever let my husband think he owns me and he knows it. I have always told him if I wanted someone who thought hey could boss me around and tell me what to do like a kid I would have stayed with my father. I am a person just like him, I have feelings and I have things in life that I want to do too. Just because I stay at home and look after his family gives him no right whatso ever to think he owns me. and it works. You need to put your foot down and not take any of his bullshit. You have a right to think and do as you please just like him, it will take awhile for him to get used to, but don't do it. It about equality, he might bring home the bacon, but you take care of the house and the kids that you both made so in my eyes you are equal.

If you are not doing your financial part in a marriage, such as working to support the family, your husband does own you. Its a choice. Work or no work. If you choose to stay at home prepare to abide by his rules. A man is the head of the household.

I don't know, I don't have that problem. My husband has his money and I have mine. He pays his part of the bills and I pay mine. We don't own each other. We are commited to each other.

I don't know.My husband and I just had a huge fight about me suppose to be doing everything around the house and he's suppose to work He was a real jerk about it and the following week, he lost his job. It was almost like karma. I guess he's going to know what it feels like to sit around the house for a few months with 3 kids running around. Serves him right.
