I have an extra home theatre dvd player and an extra computer monitor and it just happends i have some extra space in the garage. can i use my computer monitor as a tv for the dvd player if i get the correct cable? if so what cable? a rca to vga convesion? Thanks.

Simple.....simple.....simple
Just buy an external VGA-TV device and now u can plug your dvd player, your camcorder & anyother device you plug to your tv...Its cheap and yet so effective...
You dont need to turn on your PC. You can switch between PC or DVD player with just touch of a button or remote..as it comes up with a remote control. Dont look for other options.....i have tried nearly every method but in regards to quality of picture, price and time to setup its the best solution to you.

Yes, you can use it as a tv. You need a cable based off of what your dvd player and your monitor have avaiable as ports. Chances are your RCA to VGA conversion is the case. However, on a side note make sure you have speakers for sound.

i have lcd tv of brand "digimate" which could be used as a computer if we attach the C.P.U to it and u could use it for tv too! but i don't think it would do it the other way around.
