For anyone who has used a sperm donor...Would you recommend this? And how did your husband handle it???

Question

Recently diagnosed as infertile due to low sperm count. Only hope is in vitro-can't afford it and insurance won't cover it. We can afford IUI, but would have to use donor sperm due to hubby's extreme low count. How to convince him? Any advice from people who have done this is welcome.

me and my husband are going thru the exact same thing right now.my husband has no sperm at all and we had decided to look for a sperm donor but no luck.my husband didn't like the ideal at first because he wants the baby to ours(from him and me) but he wants me to be happy so he went for it.i'am thinking about going to my family doctor and taking to her about finding a sperm donor (when i get the guts to).just sit down and explain what needed to be did and make him apart of it.some women get in stuff like this and only think about their selves so that should work and tell him if he wants a baby as bad as you do then he'll support the decison.if you need someone to talk to here's my e-mail [e-mail]
