It's certainly not acceptable, but I think white people are generally comfortable in their skin. For example, if a black person calls me "cracka" or "honkey", I'm really not offended and I really don't care what they have to say. I'm comfortable being me and comfortable in my white skin. but if a white person says the "N" word to a person of color, you know the inevitable chimp-out and cries of "dat be rayssiss" will occur. So my conclusion is that if someone has to overcompensate with special events, networks, magazines, colleges etc., to try and prove their worth, then so be it. Who cares.

Oh come on man, that's funny.
As some very smart people already told you, these people are minorities so they wouldn't b able to opress you even if they wanted to.
And second, these magazines/events are not shutting out white people.
They exist because most types of media in the US are white-oriented, so it makes sense that black people make their own magazine about things that concern them as a community (just like women's mags)
I still don't think their goal is to leave white people out, but rather to have a place where they can be heard, which they often can't on white-dominated media.
So the only solution would be to represent every race equaly on all events, entertainment, culture. Then minorities wouldn't need to make their own. But do you really want that much equality? I mean, all races mixed up everywhere? something for you to ponder ... lol
Honestly, I've never been discriminated against for being white. On the contrary, you have way more people with a hate for foreigners, but that's a whole other subject.

It's an over due backlash that got built up and was unleashed in a time when it had no purpose, the best way to confront it and move towards conformity is point it out whenever possible it's up to black people after that to decide if they want to resurrect segregation.

Those things were created because of white people and their creation of a little thing called segregation. Black people were excluded for so long they had to create their own outlet. Besides, all the things you have mentioned are not exclusive to Blacks, they are just predominantly black.
P.S...racism is systematic. Black people can discriminate, but we don't have to power to be racist.

cuz people are quick to judge. generally, someone's view of a racist is white (no offense) cuz of the slavery, and former discrimination. I guess some of it was given the okay by some guilty whites, as they may have thought "we made them feel inferior, so we have to turn the tables". But seriously, all was forgiven when everyone became equal. I bare no grudge.
and it isn't acceptable, just people accept it cuz that's how they see it.

All this whining from white people is really getting on my nerve, why can't you just admit that you were the dominate race, and other ethnic groups formed their own factions because they were excluded from your activites.
We were not welcome in your world, we formed our own, and now you are crying about that. You whine, cry, snivel, complain, about everyting, it all boils down to the fact that the playing field was not equal, so we got our own playing field, now you are looking over the fence, and seeing how much fun we are having, how successful we are, and you are now jealous. You now want us to either join you, or you want to join us. Well, we do not care, most of our organizations would welcome you with open arms. Most people of color accept anybody, as long as they are decent and respectful.
For gosh sakes, if you had only been fair in the first place. For instance, that stupid sit-com "friends", not a Black face in sight, and the show takes place in New York, now if you have been to New York, you know that there's lots of people of color.
The Oscar Awards, people of color are superior actors, but they were systematically shut out of the Oscars, so we get our own award show, you get mad about that, we are not represented in your magazaines, we start our own, you get mad about that, the mainstream schools do not really care if a child of color excells academically or not, we get our own schools, you get mad at that, your last sentence summed it up, it has always been predominately white, and yes, it is racist.
white folks, accept it, it is OK, we are not mad at you, SOME of you are racists, and that is OK, that is your perogartive to be hateful and vengeful, ( you are only hurting yourself, hatred creates all kinds of health concerns) you are only hurting yourself.
But stop being in denial, you know perfectly well that you are racist.

Like I have said before, there would have never have been a need for these things to be created if we had been included from the start... and whites have all of these things do you notice how often minorities are excluded in the mainstream media???

Why is it sooooo hard for some people to understand the word "minority"??????
The only reason why those things exist is because they are a minority. Women are also minorities and they have their own things as well ( all women awards, magazines and so forth) but for some reason, I've never heard anyone complain about that ( it's always why blacks this why blacks that.) ...

That's not anything AGAINST anyone. It's for people. They don't go promoting hatred, they promote pride. And there are all white programs like that. They just don't call it "white". They put names in it like "country".
