i don't think it is wrong to do so.....you are trying to help your cousin better his or her life and you seem to be very close.
if you are not married or have no commitments then is there any harm in doing so? it is an arranged marriage or a marriage of convenience which is in name only.
i would do it for someone i cared for.

NO!!. Never, Marriage is a holy matrimony. Not to be taken advantage of. I'm sure there are other ways than marriage to bring that poor cousin over. It's very noble of your family to want to take good care of the cousin but to make use of marriage is totally unacceptable.

No, because you'd have a marriage on file and you'd also have to explain to a future fiance what that was about...then you'd also have to consider that once the cousin gets here, he will probably try and consummate the "marriage" even though the understanding was to bring them to the country only....
I'm talking from experience because my mum suggested something like this to me years ago and I rejected it for that very reason even if I was going to get paid.

How would you explain that to the future spouse? Ewww! No way would I do that. Have the Canadian family save the money to pay for a visa.

No, but I would try to find a single, available (and potentially desperate) friend who would. I am so not doin' it with kin. You know, the reason I left Louisiana is because their state motto could almost be: It goes further in when you do it with kin! LOL

No. It's weird to marry a relative. Maybe you could find someone else to do it for them.
