i assume we ought to constantly define what "clever" skill - Is it the size of the techniques? Is it memory? Is it the skill to technique suggestion? Is it the skill to get via a maze? Is it the skill to apply exterior products as equipment? Genetically close to to people? etc etc. extra, it must be difficult to make certain the "smartness" because of the fact an animal must be waiting to bear in mind and technique suggestion yet no longer interested in cooperating in human experiments to make certain the "smartness"! case in point, cats are smarter than canines yet maximum folk could think of that because of the fact that canines might properly be experienced easily, they are smarter than cats! that's basically that cats do no longer experience like studying any tricks yet while they had to they could probable quicker than canines. That reported, i assume in terms of genetic makeup and gadget utilization, Chimpanzees could be on the spectacular as closed to people. Dolphins are exceedingly close to to in terms of techniques length and difficulty fixing (so are elephants) yet probable that ingredient of smartness might properly be attributed to their willingness to "cooperate" in experiments!

i actually think mice are. survival instincts are uncanny; they know when danger's comin and as soon as they smell it, they're out of there! they know not to repeat mistakes, which is a problem humans have (Americans havin wars every so often? goin back to that boyfriend/girlfriend that is just drama...)
PLUS, have you ever tried killin/catchin a mouse?! forget about it, they know not to set off those mouse traps, get stuck on that glue, etc. etc.
in survival aspects, i think mice will outlive humans, especially after we nuclearly destroy ourselves!

"Besides humans, the ten most intelligent animals are: chimpanzees,
gorillas, orangutans, baboons, gibbons, monkeys (many species,
especially macaques), smaller toothed whales (especially killer whales
or Orcas), dolphins, elephants, pigs and dogs not cats :-)
