Hi Max !

Thanks for asking !
First of all : Be aware and careful, you got an 8 months old kid ! He is still very young. So you better don´t rush things up.

2 tips I have :

1) Go to a qualified Doctor (Dermatologist = Skin Specialist) and let him give you advice and instructions before you ask us.

2) I´ve observed here in Mexico that a lot of people use "Crema de concha nacar" which in english would be like mother-of-pearl cream, which is the powder on a creamy basis. Put regularly on the affected scar areas, helps a lot, though months may go thru.
Also, very good is Aloe Vera, probably the plant of the century, you should get it fresh and cut it and use the outcoming saliva as a direct gel.
I agree, that Vitamin E may be of good help, but better consult a Doctor or a Herbalist (who studied herbs and plants).

Tell your kid you love him a lot, probably is the best medicine.

Receive best wishes from Xalapa, Mexico.

.Alright i am a manager at CVS... I have this under control... lol, it isnt normal that I have the answer LOL...

First....

Vitamin E is the Vitamin that affects scars. So anything with Vitamin E...

Ill recommend the following... (Of which you can get at your local pharmacy ... cvs, walgreens, etc)

vitamin E oil
Scar Zone

the best of the best would be Mederma it will clear it right up... but it is also 40.00 and its active ingrediant is Vit E

So My recommendation would be to try Vitamin E Oil, rub that in and use CoCoa Butter lotion, For stretch marks but it is very good for scars also. and have the baby take in some good Vitamin C it is good for healing.

Good Luck!

BY the way, I wanted to Edit in, I read what the person wrote below me, I wouldnt use TeaTree Oil on a baby, it burns. Also its not for scars more for infected folicles hair folicles like if you have severe dry scalp and you itch it. Not for scars... I wouldnt do that for the babies safety ALSO! No need to consult a doctor, unless they are bleeding. Vitamin E is absolutely fine, we recommend it all the time. and there is no need to see a Herbalist either LOL... The truth is what works works... If you are conserned see his regular doctor and she will state the same... Vitamin E Lotion.

Anyways, I have to go to bed LOL... Good Luck!

you need to call your dr and see what they reccomend. he may be old enough now for some repellents made for infants. your dr will be able to tell you what to use. lol it's 20 degrees here, kinda makes me wish i had a mosquito problem.
