LA galaxy are not paying him all the money-most of it will come from sponsorships and endorsements!
also all the teams in MLS wear Adidas shirts,so they have put up some of the money to attarct him there, cos it's good for the whole league, not just the Galaxy, and they will expect a huge increase in the sale of all shirts! Also AEG sponsor MLS and galaxy and they have put in a large amount of money,so its not just galaxy paying him,but at least 3 different organisations,so makes it a lot more affordable.
also don't forget that whilst crowds will not generate the revenue from games that European clubs would....TV sponsorship is much higher than in Europe, about 2 or 3 times as much per game!
obviously they wouldn't be offering that amount of money if they couldn't afford it!

it will be absurd for the human beings yet for l. a. Galaxy that is sensible. Beckham now a days isn't a participant he's a product on the grounds that he entered authentic Madrid. imagine a celeb taking area in football and in l. a. ! and he's not even a football participant he doesn t actually have the features to be named. What do you imagine will human beings in l. a. will like : Beckham contained in the streets or a cushty proficient brazilian, as Beckham is a product he will provide the club extra money than they paid for him contained in the years that he will spend there. certain the quantity is ridicoulous yet they recognize they are going to get better that money and win extra understand me isn't for the activities or for a football participant is for the product that he's that honestly sells plenty.

Very good question. I think the club owners are viewing this move like a regular business venture, i.e. they are investing the money in Beckham because they believe that he will ultimately create even more money for them through image rights, merchandising etc.
It's become abundantly clear recently that rich American companies and businessmen have seen the potential profitability of soccer in general, they simply see it as new, unfulfilled money-making market. Liking the sport has nothing to do with it.

LA is only paying about $40 million for him...At least I think so. The rest is coming from sales, endorsements, etc.

you would be surprised when it comes to raising money for sick children or for the troops in Iraq to have all the supplies they need the money is always missing but when it comes to sports these players get paid loads and loads of money and they also can pick and choose players from where ever they want they money is always there and it is always right for the right amount of money you can buy anyone trust me soccer isn't even all that big over here but for the big name you must pay big bucks

They are not paying him that much. About 60% of everything they pay out is endorsements.
