I eat the chopsticks! I love the aroma of wood and the taste of bleeding gums. The splintered gums also offer me a peaceful feeling of relaxation. Chopsticks are delicious!

Perhaps you had more than one typo in that question?
I'm taking a couple of guesses as to your meaning:

a) 'Do you eat WITH the chopsticks or throw them away?" In which case my answer is "I always eat with the chopsticks - if it's Asian food designed for chopsticks..." I spent six years overseas and am going back to Korea in a month's time... yay!

b) 'Do you eat the fortune cookies or throw them away?' I know a lot of people pull out the fortune and leave the cookie - but I actually enjoy those crunchy little bits of sweetened styrofoam. I usually wind up eating everyone's - AND collecting the fortune for scrapbooking. Sad, I know....

c) 'Do you eat the chopsticks or throw them away?' I suppose you really could want to know that....but even a beaver wouldn't enjoy a chopstick for a light snack. Disposable restaurant chopsticks are invariably made of bamboo, which splinters into tiny, slivery fragments - which fester very badly in human skin. Or animal skin, for that matter. In which case my answer would certainly be 'throw them away'!

And then there are the many possibilities that are not in the range of reality:

you may be using your very own dictionary and mean something else by the word 'eat' than 'ingest', 'consume', 'take in nutrients', etc - such as 'poke into hair for fake Asian-style hairpiece', say.

You could be a surrealist attempting to create a piece of performance art.

You could be slightly to the left of sane and looking for our reactions.

You could be a spy for a foreign power and have encoded a secret message to your contact as to where the drop box is going to be for this evening's vital document exchange.

Or you could really be a chimpanzee slamming computer keys in a monitored laboratory deep in Brazil and have produced this message to mankind completely randomly.

A few nice thoughts for the evening!
Hugs,
Judith

Chopsticks are eating utensils. They are used by some Asian groups in lieu of forks, spoons, and knives. They used to be fashioned from ivory in olden times. Currently, they are made from bamboo or some other wooden material, or plastic. Some wooden chopsticks are disposable. Some are not, especially those with decorations alongside the sticks. In general, plastic chopsticks are reusable.

I like to use the chopsticks....but I've got the manual dexterity of Bill Buckner (ask a baseball fan), so using them quickly gets too tedious for my liking...I ditch them and use the silverware at that point.

P.S. I'm assuming here that you mean eat WITH the chopsticks.

I'm so bad at using chopsticks that the ends get chewed. I'm lucky I don't put an eye out.

what kind of restaurant are you going to? I've never seen edible chopsticks. Wouldn't they get shorter and shorter as you eat, until they're useless?
