1. John Elway:
The career stats put him behind only Marino in most categories. Nobody better in the clutch. 5 Super Bowl appearances, including 2 victories.
2. Dan Marino:
Nobody with better career stats in the history of the game, incuding the most points ever scored by a quarterback. His 28 4th quarter comebacks are second only to Elway. Lead Dolphins to Super Bowl in rookie year. A victory in the big game would easily have made him #1.
3. Joe Montana:
4 Super Bowl victories. 3 Super Bowl MVP awards are a record. 26 4th quarter comebacks. Many consider Montana to be the greatest of all time, in reality he was almost benched for Steve Young on numerous occasions beginning in 1987. Still, proved most critics wrong and had a great career.
4. Peyton Manning:
Already holds most of the single season passing records, including touchdowns in a season. On track to hold nearly every career mark by the time he is through. If he does that and wins multiple Super Bowls, he will vault to #1 on this list.
5. Brett Favre:
Narrowly beats out Young, Starr, Brady, and Bradshaw for this spot simply because he plays the position like nobody before him or since. A one of a kind who has a ring, and a record of consecutive games that makes him football's Ironman.

Here we go:

1. Joe Montana
2. Terry Bradshaw
3. Dan Marino
4. Brett Favre
5. Peyton Manning

I can't give much love to Troy Aikman or Steve Young. Both good quarterbacks, but I can't put them into my top 5 because they were too fragile. They were good when they played, but they can't do much good when they're injured and on the bench. So I made a mix of QBs with Super Bowl Rings, MVPs, records and longevity... Some would say Brett shouldn't be in there because of his interceptions. Here's what I say to them: Interceptions are going to happen, especially facing some of the toughest defenses ever assembled. Plus, Brett is a gunslinger. Takes chances when needed, and sometimes even when they're NOT needed. But the fact is that he has played at a high level for the majority of his career. And the fact that he's fought through his injuries? Incredible. That's why he's in the top 5. And for Peyton? Peyton is the QB of today and tomorrow. He already has a number of records, and you better believe he'll have plenty more before he's done.

1. Joe Montana
2. Dan Marino
3. Troy Aikman
4. John Elway
5. Steve Young

Got to leave Brett Favre out only because he almost has the record for most thrown interceptions. Not a great quarterback feat in my opinion. Steve Young gets in because he has the record for QB rating, which is really quite an accomplishment. Joe Montana gets over Dan Marino just because of the four rings and thats it.

Excellent list, but here's mine:

1. Joe Montana
2. Dan Marino
3. John Elway
4. Johnny Unitas
5. Terry Bradshaw

I'd put Favre 6th or 7th, depending on what one thinks of Bart Starr.

These are in no particular order.

1. Johnny Unitas
2. John Elway
3. Dan Marino
4. Joe Montana
5. Peyton Manning

Honorable mention Bart Starr, Terry Bradshaw, Sid Luckman

I say Manning, although I am a die hard Bears fan. I hope Brian Urlacher turns him into a blue and white pile of goo durning the game, then he is o.k. afterwards.
