done a million times. I like the early 70s bands like King Crimson, but it's hard to find songs that would sound good a capella. Some Alternative rock could be good too, but I'm not as familiar with a lot of those songs. I am thinking about American Idol 2007 auditions.
Remember: I'm looking for something that hasn't been done very much or not at all.

There's a good one by Slaughter - it got SOME radio play in the late 80's, but not alot - I'm not thinking of Fly to the Angels - it's something like Flowers for Zoe I believe. It's been a LONG time since I was in HS - but I always loved their music, and as far as I know it's not overdone.

How about songs from Creedance Clearwater Revival, i.e. "Bad Moon Rising"- that would be refreshing for those stupid AI judges to hear...
..Or how about "Landslide" from Fleetwood Mac.
Think about songs that were hits in the 70s that you can also turn acapella. Good luck!

Shooting Star (Bad Company) - well enough known that people will recognize it, not played that often on radio, fairly easy to sing (if you have limited range), and a flexible enough song to show real range if you have it.
