Most important thing is don't let him or her no that you are wise to him or her that could be very dangerous for you. They think their smarter then everyone else to smart to be figured-out.To beat them at their own game you need to play dumb let him or her think that he is out smarting you. That will be his weakness and your strength to beat him at his own game.

You don't, you stay away from sociopaths because they are dangerous and will do anything they can to get whatever they want. You will be seen as an obstacle, and a true sociopath will step on you if they have to, just to get you out of the way. They will manipulate anyone and everyone if they can to get what they perceive as theirs. They tend to be quite clever and sometimes very charming. Able to fool everyone into thinking they are normal humans. But these people have no consciences and no remorse for anyone they hurt. They no more think of you as a person with feelings and pain then would of stepping on an ant. Just keep away from a person like this, and be leery of them.

Really depends on the situation and if they are a true sociopath or if you are the one that diagnosed them. I guess a little more info could have helped. But I agree with what the first guy said.

It takes one to beat one...think like a sociopath

Well, the first thing you should realise is that being a sociopath isn't a game. It's a deep rooted emotional/psychological and behavioural problem. Unless you are an experienced professional which clearly you are not, I wouldn't bother.

Wouldn't you have to be one as well? Sociopaths are in worlds of their own and highly manipulative so it's really just better to be rid of them.

Could've used more details, but as a general answer I would say there's no way, because it's not a situation where there's a winner and a loser. My advice would be don't try it, because in the end you will regret the time you wasted.
