How do I lower my firewall and spam blocker to view a video e-mail from Helloworld.com?

Just joined www.helloworld.com/winters and I get to see and hear my grandchild, live in NY. It is great, a few bugs to work out, but it's been a great experience. I was sent a video email joke or something, from a trusted friend but cannot play it. He advises to lower firewall settings and spam blockers. I do not know how to do that? I tried "security settings" and "added" it and a "trusted site." But that did not work. Does anyone know how?

After you added it to your safe list did you restart you computer, sometimes you need to do that for it to be effective. You could create a hotmail account add it to your safe list and go from there, I would advise agains lowering your firewall as this is where unscrupulous people gain access.

im guessing your using IE so heres something you might want to try:
go into the internet options (tools menu)
click the privacy tab and then sites
add the site there, and set your privacy to medium
also go into the security tab then "trusted sites" (green check) near the top
add the site there

...those should help....otherwise you might want to check your firewall settings on your antivirus program
