disable the alarm and your problem will be fixed. you may also be able to reset the alarm by removing the negative battery terminal and waiting a few minutes before reconecting it.

Your inertia switch may have tripped.
Cars built after 1997 have a switch that's designed to prevent the car from starting if it has been in an accident.
The inertia from the accident trips a motion-sensitive switch that shuts off the fuel pump and prevents the car from starting. It may also be tied into your alarm system to make it go crazy instead of starting the car.
Do some googling to find out where the inertia switch is and how to reset it.

My son had this problem with his toyota camry, it was something wrong with his car alarm system. The mechanic said that it was an after factory installed car alarm and it was shorting out everything. So they disconnected, cut the car alarm system and he has not had a problem since. Also the car had a reset button for the alarm system that they said needed to be rest when the problem happened, but he just opt'ed to have the alarm system disabled so he would not have the problem again.

There may be a malfunction in your alarm system. Many alarm systems have a start cancel built in where the engine will start but immediately die if the alarm is activated. You may be trying the correct proceedure to enter your car by bypassing the alarm with your car fob or other source but I'd start by having your alarm checked for issues.

Disconnect the alarm and see what happens. Most have a starter daisable function and yours may have shorted.

I believe your alarm system is faulty. If there is enough current to operate your lights then there is enough to start the car. If there wasn't enough current then the jump start would have worked.
