The term came up and I wonder how amino acids can have a mutation.

An amino acid mutation is the change in the sequence of polypeptide(base pairing) making up the amino acid. It can be achieved by either insertion, deletion, termination or inversion.

Everytime the two sets of chromozones join to form a double helix DNA, a mutation happens, so every generation is slightly, very very slightly, different.
