Excellent book. A lot deeper than it looks. It's one of the most profound things ever written about the human condition.
I read it when I was a teenager and I thought it was great then. I read it again at 20, 25 and in my 30s, and it's one of those books that grows with you. Don't make any mistakes about it: Although the language is simple, almost child-like, it's not just a children's book: It's about life, and all of it.

Yes, of course since all pages there are readable and interesting regarding the words or thoughts of the little prince. One thing he said before he departed from the desert is a fact we all confront, that is, he said something like we all live in a shell of life and when the time comes we all depart from the shell, that is, pass away from life. It looked like a fairy tale to me some 40 years ago when I first picked it up to read but soon I found it exeptional & a bit philosophical & wonderful to read it as well as to know about the author, a great writer and flyer in his time and the literary world.

I love that book and it's one of my Mum's favourites. I wish they would make it into a movie (but an adults movie and not some dodgy cartoon) because it is just such a touching story that should be out there for everyone to see.

I think my favourite part is when he draws the elephant swallowed by a boa constrictor. At first it seems so funny, and then it makes me cry.

On a scale of 1-10 of moving, it's at an 11 for me :)

It's best read in French, but if you don't read French, then read it in whatever language you find it in. It' the most beautiful, sad, true children's book that is not for children. Very helpful if you have suffered the death of a loved one.
This is one of my all-time favorite books.
