Time Bandits back in the early 80's. I just kept setting there, convincing myself it would get better. Something would have to happen to the plot for people to bare the pain for so long. But it kept getting worse, like a gnat in your eye. Drove me to point of insanity. I walk around now, 20 years later, still with a nervous twitch.

I have. I used to go to an old dollar theater with a friend all the time, so we would just go see whatever was playing...only a dollar right? But after two hours of the Horse Whisperer the tape ran out and an intermission sign popped up, we were already near suicidally depressed. Robert Redford should have been slapped for that one. So we left. It was really just SOOOO boring and awful. I can't describe it.

LOL...it seems kinda funny now as I look back. I think I was about 13 and went to go see a movie with my cousin and my aunt. We went to see Body Heat, not knowing what it was about I guess. There was a scene where a couple is in bed. My aunt, who was an extremely prudish lady, was horrified and stood up and said very loudly how disgusting the movie was and walked out. My cousin and I had to run out behind her. we were very embarrassed.

My friend and I walked out of Stranger Than Fiction, it was too slow for the first hour and we got bored. We were going to sneak into another movie but the options were all worse, so we went back in.

I walked out of "Saving Private Ryan" after about 45 minutes. And here's why:
1. I was hung over.
2. I was intensely annoyed by a flaw in the theater's surround sound system, which featured a ground-level buzzzzzzzzz coming from a poorly-wired speaker right behind my head. You couldn't really notice it during the kickin' war scene, but once it dropped into quiet dialogue... I couldn't NOT hear it, and it kept me from succumbing to the drama.
3. Did I mention I was hung over?

Yes. WHAT LIES BENEATH was the stupidest movie ever. I girl I liked dragged me into it, but it sucked so hard that I had to just get up and leave. It had to do with pride. In an effort to save my last shred of cinema dignity, I had to leave. What lies beneath? I'll tell you, a good rating on my scale! Save yourself 2 + hours of your life and don't see this pathetic excuse for a film. The whole thing is just Michelle Pheifer startling herself and then it turns out to be nothing.

Usually I stay, hoping that it will get better.
I walked out of "Ice Storm." I know it's supposed to be a great movie, but I just wasn't in the mood for all the angst.

Yeah, on a date me and my guy went into Howard Stern's Private Parts" movie. We didn't even stay a whole minute, it sucked so bad we left and went to see "Scream". WAY better movie and the actors were MUCH better looking than ugly as sin Howie.

I can't believe I am going to admit this, but I actually went to see one of the Cannonball Run movies in the theater. I think it was Cannonball Run III, if you have seen it you will know exactly why I walked out. Also known AS:
Speed Zone

Years ago when i went to movies, i occassionally would leave. usually it was either too boring or too exciting. didn't ever like too much graphic sex or bloody slasher scenes. neverending car chases may be the worse thing. now just watch on cable. keep my remote very near. my remote has a big red skip button. so many movies i flip off.
