the causes razor burn is the razor cuts off the tops of the pours and for some people they will get those nasty bumps

my hubby has sensitive skin and he uses after shave and it is the alcohol in it that stops the razor burn so i started to use rubbing alcohol and it worked it stings like h*** but there are no red bumps the only thing to watch for is that the alcohol with dry out your skin so after half an hour use a good skin cream

and if you pluck your eyebrows or wax and get those tell tail red marks and swelling use visine the one that gets the red out they are now using it in the best salons around my place and it does work

I've use deoterant as well (as someone said below) Some work if they are really creamy like dove. But most leave you sticky. My best find has been cornstarch! I discovered this when I realized my baby powder deorant worked pretty good. I bought another brand and then tried to use the new deoterant on the razor burn. It felt kinda sticky. Different then before. Then the next time I tried babypowder. This worked too. Then I ran out of baby powder and remembered that cornstartch worked better on diaper rash then baby powder. So then I gave the corn starch a try. You know it worked the best of all!

You have to keep shaving and the burn will go away. It will get easier and easier to shave and not be irritated. As far as something that is not store bought? Basically EVERYTHING is store bought, whether it be cream, oil, ointment, powder or even spray. Soap, wash, whatever! Even the razor is from a store! Just keep natural stuff on there and do it every day, sleep with nothing on the area, give it plenty of air and... did I say keep shaving it??? :-) Good luck!

Use a new blade in a high quality rasor, with a moisturizing shaving gel. Immediately after shaving, put on some baby oil (right away, a section at a time, within a few seconds of the rasor leaving your body). Then hope for the best. If you've already broken out, try the baby oil, maybe also some aloe, but usually there's little you can do but wait once it's happened.

Try some baby powder, and make sure you are using a good, sharp razor to start with. An old razor, makes the irritation worse.

OH YEA. Not only does it prevent razor burn, but there are other benefits for the skin. Immediately after shaving and drying off. Put deodorant "preferably clear" on all of your sensitive areas. You'll be amazed.

i choose to propose utilizing the Venus Breeze razor. It has the shaving creme on the razor, so with each swipe, you're getting a layer of shaving creme to stay clear of inflammation. (and it is not crappy like the instinct razor). additionally, if razor burn does take place, use a creme at the same time with Bikini Zone. despite if it is not on the bikini line, this is an dazzling ointment to take the element and redness out of razor burn.
