Friends are often insensitive when a bad relationship ends. (I'm assuming it's bad because of what I read.) It's never easy to get over a breakup, but one thing that helps is to go out with friends. NOT to any of the places that you and your boyfriend did. With any luck, some guys will flirt with you and you will discover that there are lots of guys for you to pick from. If you know how to do it, it's really easy for a woman to get a new man. Once you do, you'll realize that there's not much to be depressed about.
I know that you had a history with your ex, and there are still feelings there, whether he was good for you or not. No one can tell you to just drop it and move on. That's stupid. It's not like you can just forget it, but you can decide that now's the time to do something fun. There might be some really special men out there that can make your legs turn to rubber with a single kiss. Wouldn't that be fun?
P.S. Tell your friend that she is being inconsiderate. You need to give her a good tongue lashing because, even though the breakup was good news for her, it still hurts you and it unfair of her to be so happy about it.

The longer you ignore feelings and try to be tough the longer it will take you to get over it and the longer you'll suffer like you are right now. Be honest with your feelings, which are only natural. You might miss the person you broke up with, and that's okay, natural. Don't suppress that emotion just because you're not supposed to feel for that person anymore. Let it out; but stick to your guns and do what you know is right. No big move like this is easy to do, but you know it's right or you wouldn't have done it. Now the number one rule is one you might not like. The number one rule is: no contact with the person you broke up with, at least no person-to-person contact, and depending on how volatile or messy the break up was, you probably shouldn't have any kind of contact because you have to be cut loose of the person before you can start to grow and heal from the loss. If you linger, it's like you didn't even break up; it's worse. Good luck. Break ups suck and they'll always suck, so you ride it out and learn. That's it; there's no magic remedy.

Retail therapy. Kidding. Sort of. Music is a great healer, only don't listen to sappy sad stuff. Talk it out with trusted and supportive friends. Have a good cry, then go see a fun movie. Go out. Get a nice haircut, manicure, cute outfit. Read, "It's called a Breakup because It's Broken" and "How to Survive the Loss of Love." These books are like best friends and therapists and a warm loving pair of arms around you all rolled into one. You'll eventually grow stronger.

You don't get through it ALONE.
You and a good friend go to Cold Stone Creamery... I recommend the Chocolate Devotion with a few alterations- the original Choc Devo is chocolate ice cream, choc chips, brownie and fudge... change the ice cream to white Choc, trade the choc chips for raspberries- Does the trick for me!!!
My husband recently moved to another state for work, he'll be coming home on the weekends, but he made this decison all by himself, no discussion, no talking it through with me... Yes, I'm pissed about it!!.. So yesterday, a friend from work treated me to Cold Stone... So over the best ice cream in the country, we just visited... It was the best therapy I've ever been a part of!

You can go to your best friend. Mine always helps me out. You have you try to play in cool when your around your ex. Kinda put your self out there and hang out with some new people you might be intrested in dating some time. Or you caould just keep your self from thinking about that person by doing school work, hanging with friend, ect.

yeah u can, your not the only one in this cruel world who goes through terrible breakups. you just gotta pull your self together and just remind your self that you are better than that guy who broke your heart, and that no guy is worth your tears, cuz your very valuable and what he looses some one else will gain. Love hurts and when he starts to miss you just let him know that he let you go. when you feel like wiggin out just take a DEEP breath and as you exhale let all your emotions go with it, and always stand tall....;)....youll be ok.
