Hint U.S. Currency was Re-Designed some years ago, and I noticed a Very Disturbing Difference from the before and after(New Bills) What Say Ye ?

they'd go to the federal reserve bank in manhattan NY in the wall street area.

there hasn't been any gold held at fort knox in a very long time...

Not a darn thing, our money is no longer backed by anything its a fiat (I'm unsure of that spelling) currency. I'm sure people would freak out, but the way most Americans go about their lives they might not even notice.

I think it would not affect the economy. In theory, our economy is based on the value of products and services, not gold.

I'd sure be wondering where the gold went.

It would have no effect at all. Nixon took us off the gold standard.
