I have a neighbor whose loud exhaust system is terribly disturbing. I need a few suggestions on how to "fix" the problem. I was also wanting to know what would happen if I put potatoes or bananas in the tailpipe. Any other suggestions would be helpful, thanks!

potatos/banannas in the exhause can do damage to the car, and you will be held liable for it.
heres the best option: stop whining. chances are the car isnt THAT loud, and youre just being rediculous. if its that bothersome, yet still within the law, go buy some ear plugs. theyre about 30 cents at walmart.

If someone ever did that **** to me? Then there would be hell to pay. I'm a mechanic also. I couldn't begin to tell you what I would do to your car. Or to you for that matter. There's an old saying that I think you should read. ''Never **** in your own yard'' Or in this case your own neighborhood.

report it to the police as a noise infraction....disturbing the peace....there may be city bylaws.
