"Final Countdown" by Europe comes to mind. Hilariously awful. And a synthesizer is a prerequisite for any cheesy 80's song.

My best friend loves "The Final Countdown" and he used to drive our supervisor nuts with that song at our summer job.

I thought the cheesiest song of all time was Styx: Mr. Roboto (considering how great they were in the 1970s).

Another list of the cheesy songs are

Eddie Murphy: Party all the Time
Patrick Swayze: She's Like the Wind
Toni Basil: Mickey
ELO: Rock 'n Roll is King/All Over the World
Don Johnson: Heartbeat
Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton: Islands in the Stream
Was Not Was: Walk the Dinosaur
Night Ranger: Sister Christian
Vapors: Turning Japanese
unknown artist: Mexican Radio
Pointer Sisters (mid 80s era)

Same as yours. The Final Countdown. It sucks especially when I was still in school, I remember the song every time I have a test that is about to start in a few hours, then minutes, then seconds then... aaarrggghhh!!! It was annoying!

"You're The Inspiration" by Chicago. It goes down as one of the worst songs recorded by a talented band.
