Well it depends on the job but where I live in IL the min wage is 650 rumor has it its going up to 750 a hour so for min wage pay your going to get min wage work , when they offer you manager salary for 25 to 50 cents extra its not worth it to give your life to a company when you have kids to come home to for that much less you can do your job and go home if something goes wrong its not your problem, now if it was a life changing salary raise I would give my life and love to a company cause my daugher would benfit in the end I hope I make sence and this answers your question from a average min wage american worker
