wow I sure hope this is a joke...the sinking of the ship Titanic is in fact a historical event. However, the romance portrayed in the movie 'Titanic' is fiction. For more information you should check out this website.

The titanic actually was a real ship that sank off our coast here in nova scotia.....the movie was not an accurate portrayal of all the events..they made it into a love story..........

Kinda sorta. Of course, the Titanic sank and the movie is realistic to that. But as for the whole love story thing, nope that was made up. The characters never even existed.

there was a real ship called titanic and it sank in its first float.. the name of the ship captain is true... but the love story is all made up...

The tragedy of the boat sinking was real, and I'm sure that was some kind of love story on the boat, but I don't think it was an exact one like Jack and Rose.

well yes 1912 i think,find in a history book at any library, the ship hit an iceburg, most of the artifacts are in a halifax museum..start reading, lots of stuff will wow yah!!
