does it cost money to downloas text messages?

i have a razr v3i and my friend has a nokia 6020. he sends me text messages but when i get them i have to download them, and i was wondering if it cost any money to download them.

i have tmobile and mine dosnt do that. mine is 10 cents out going only. free incomming

I have a razr f/ Verizon, and I get charged 10cents for normal txt, and other text's can be up to $5.00 or more....you better check your plan and ask them
