What an azz. Don't let that discourage you. Its good that you find out about his character in the interview. What if he hired you? Knowing what you know now about him, would you have been happy working for that jerk?
Keep it moving. Next---> LOL

I went on a job interview once and the interviewer was very aggressive and hostile, repeatedly stated how they did not want to fill the position, but was being forced to by the higher ups. She was very rude and talked badly about her employees. I could tell that it would be a horrible work experience to be there. So I just stood up and thanked her for her time. She snapped at me and said" but we are not done with the interview yet". I just calmly stated " yes it is, I don't feel that you would make a good fit in my life, and there is no point in wasting your time or mine". She just sat there dumb founded. When I left the employees asked me when I would be starting, and I simply stated that I did not care to work there. They smiled and said that was the best decision that I could make, that she was a b***ch to work for. I have never regretted that decision.

How rude, that was so unprofessional.
Next time you see yourself facing such disgusting manners, ask yourself this :Do I want to come to work for this person and be spoken to like this everyday of my life?
So basically at that point you can decide to either suck it up and hope he offers you a job.
Or if you see you aren't going to get the job or better yet you decide you won't tolerate such rudeness you can tell the interviewer very politely (good manners always is a one up):
"Excuse me, clearly you have no concept of what art really is, if you did you would know that art is a personal observation and from your disgusting manners you have proved you would not know a true work of art even if it smacked you in the face".
Better yet, you could interrupt the rude commentator mid-sentence, stand-up and say "Thank you, but I think you've wasted enough of my time. After careful consideration I have come to the conclusion that I am not interested in working for your company. Good Luck."

Personally, I would just think to myself is this somewhere I would really want to work anyways if they treated you like that in the interview alone. Obviously not. You are not employed with their company when you are in an interview so it's not like it would go on any kind of work history if you did decide to get smart with them. Especially if they told you right then and there you WEREN'T getting the job. Personally I wouldnt lower myself to their level and get aggressive or nasty. I would keep your composure and professionalism and tell them that their comments to you were not very perfessional and you didnt appreciate them. In that case, thank you for your time and you wouldn't be interested in joining their company any more than they would enjoy having you. Plain and simple. Good luck!

This is a sad thing to say, but first you should consider if there's any truth to what he said. Maybe you're so angry because you have a suspicion that he's right.
No, I wouldn't snap back at him. You wouldn't want to get a reputation as difficult. The best you can do, really, is to warn people from working for this guy. Also, you can cherish the fantasy that you'll show him, succeed wildly, and that someday he'll come to you looking for a job! Then you can show him.

WOW! it is were given to be between the rudest issues i have EVER heard! i am going to't believe that they'd say some thing like that to you!! i wager, once you're achieved being grateful they did not employ you (because, extremely, who needs to artwork for someone like that?!) in case you could get over the initial wonder of any such commentary, you've requested what, specifically he discovered weak, and what you should strengthen upon both on your human being, through taking extra instructions. etc. galvanize upon the actual incontrovertible actuality that you're a speedy study, dedicated on your craft and own the prefer to strengthen and be the very perfect you'll properly be, and that you'll take criticism. (it ought to carry forth the wall, and it is no longer information on a thanks to manage, yet he would were attempting to work out in case you could take criticism or how properly you manage frustration). with the exception of that, attempt to do not forget that you're in an interview, and may hence proceed to be pleasant and specialist in any respect cases. you at the on the spot are not only promoting your skills and employability, you're promoting your self. even as this organization received't be the perfect proper on your understanding, you do not recognize who the hiring manager knows. the international is smaller than you imagine, and in case you react badly in an interview, you do not go with that to precede you right into a destiny interview!! (And believe me, it ought to and does take position. plenty.) so a concepts as asking about colleagues you could propose, a better (more desirable impartial answer) ought to were. "genuinely, off the right of my head, i extremely can't imagine of anybody who's searching. yet genuinely if I listen of a few thing which could be a good in fantastic condition, i am going to bypass your contact preparation alongside." even if you go with to attempt this's as a lot as you, yet a minimum of you've managed to illustrate that you've dealt with the critique gracefully. even as it is all reported and achieved, seem your interviewer interior the interest, smile, and thank them for his or her time. deliver them a thanks note for the interview. it is going to, interior the end, positioned you head and shoulders above all and sundry else. best of luck to you along with your job search for!

One possibility is that the guy who interviewed you is just an idiot, in which case, why should you be upset? Just decide not to work there.
Another possibility is that they are trying to see how you react to criticism, since you might get a lot of it on the job. In that case, telling the guy off is probably not the best move.

**** it man, I bet you're kinda kicking yourself now that you didnt say anything. Just because you are applying for a job off him doesnt mean you owe him anything, if he is an arragont dick he needs to be called on it regardless.

You should have defended your work. If he was testing to see how you held up against criticism you would've failed right there for not having the backbone to back your art up. If he was just being a prick, then his opinion wouldn't matter because you wouldn't have to work with him anyways. Its unprofessional to tell him off yes, but NO job worth getting is going to hire someone for being a walking mat

You did right by saying nothing. You can think whatever you want, but let's face it, it's a small world and people talk. Just be glad that you know where you don't want to work. This is very valuable information and at least you won't be wasting your time working for a jerk. yay!
