I had my second baby one year ago. I have not felt the same mentally or physically since. I have suffered from numerous vaginal yeast and bacterial infections that never seem to completely clear up. I have dramatic mood swings, especially around ovulation and period time. Quite a bit of fatigue that is beyond the "fatigue of motherhood". I have had my blood tested for problems with thyroid, sugar and anemia. My dr. said all results came back normal. I am desperate for suggestions. I know my body and I know that something is not right!! It is not depression!! I did suffer from post partum depression about 6 wks after delivery and was on an anti-depressant for a few months. My dr thought the symtoms were a result of the anti-dep. They are still here many months after going off of it. These symtoms are effecting my sex life, my parenting skills and my overall mental well being! I did not have any of these problems after baby #1. Any women out there with similar experience PLEASE HELP!!

***I think you may have a hormone imbalance. There are some natural ways to treat this that would not harm you or baby (if you are nursing).
* Blessed Thistle http://www.bulkherbstore.com/BTC
* Siberian Ginseng http://www.bulkherbstore.com/GRSC
* Red Raspberry is not specific for hormone imbalance, but it great for overall women's health. http://www.bulkherbstore.com/RRLC
You can make these into a tea and drink daily.
I had hoped to provide you with more on this subject, but I seem to have misplaced my How To Herb Book (or else the 15-month old is "reading" it :) If you are interested in hearing more, you can EMAIL ME. Maybe by then I will have found my book-I usually am never without it.
*****I can also give you some information about the recurring yeast infections.*****
Bacteria can too easily develop resistence to man-made antibiotics because the antibiotics are too simple. So it takes stronger antibiotics each time to take care of the problem. Your body will build up an immunity to these antibiotics and they will stop working altogether. They may have, considering how many antibiotics you have been taking. You need a natural antibiotic. They are more comlex and outsmart the bacteria that have so easily figured out man's simple antibiotic secret.
*A note about GARLIC
Penicillin has one chemical constituent and that is Penicillin. Garlic has at least 35 constituents. They "potentiate, enhance, and mitigate each other's effects inside the human body." That's like taking 35 medications in one! Learn more about garlic here: http://www.bulkherbstore.com/gm...
Here are some natural remedies that are known to treat yeast infections.
**APPLE CIDER BATH- Sit in a tub of water with Apple Cider Vinegar poured in it. This one is good, too, for children who get yeast from antibiotics. Do this for 10-15 minutes daily. Twice a day if possible. Sitting longer will not hurt-it's natural.
**GARLIC DOUCHE: Blend 1 or 2 cloves of garlic in blender with 1 cup water. Strain and add enough water to make 1 quart of solution. Douche as usual.
**GARLIC SUPPOSITORY: Insert a garlic CAPSULE (not tablet, not caplet) into vagina at night. The gelatin coating will dissolve and disperse the garlic. (I've heard of some women inserting a peeled clove of garlic into the vagina - I would if it came to that)
**ACIDOLPHILUS DOUCHE or CAPSULE inserted at night (can get capsules at Walmart and other drug stores)
**COMFREY Tea Douche
**HYDROGEN PEROXIDE DOUCHE- Hydrogen Peroxide is produced naturally by bacteria in your vagina and kills yeast. If the bacteria aren't doing enough by themselves, try mixing 1 teaspoon of ordinary 3% hydrogen peroxide from your market or pharmacy with 1 cup of water. Use as a douche once a day until the day after your symptoms disappear.
**Note: I do not recommend douching on a regular basis-only when there is a medical need. Caution should be taken when douching. Keep the bag below your pelvis and exert only slight pressure, as really strong pressure might drive the solution up through the cervix into the uterus. Likewise, be careful when inserting and removing the nozzle, as damage to the vaginal walls can lead to more serious yeast or bacterial infections.

*Eat yogurt to replace the good bacteria that the antibiotics have destroyed (that is one reason why the infection comes back).
*Sugar can feed yeast, so you may want to monitor your sugar intake as well.

*****I have two children as well, but have not experienced your symptoms.

I am sorry to read about your problems and even sorrier no one offered any help. Maybe you are right, maybe something is wrong with you though vaginal yeast and infections do not clear up unless you totally adhere to the instructions including no sex.
Maybe your doctor should test your hormones (blood test) or lack of vitamins (B12, folic acid etc.) there is a whole list of tests to be done to rule out any ongoing problems. As I am already a grandmother I am not in your situation and therefore strongly suggest you connect support groups and ask there about your situation and what can be done, I found some:

http://www.robynsnest.com/doula.htm

I find that support groups are the best place to start your research of why and how to treat your situation. Good luck.
