I'm going to the Bahamas, staying in Nassau, for 7 nights in mid-February. Does anyone have any recommendation of what there is to do there? I'm looking for something to do during the day and mainly the night life as well. Any hot spots or must-see locations? Thanks!

If you are interested in diving or snorkeling..these people are the best !!! Bahama Divers, I left a link and info. Also the Straw Market is an awesome place as well, the shops and the people. Just don't let them "plat ya hair, plat ya hair 5 dollas" This is a form of braiding, and with hair as long as mine hurt like the dickens...lol. I stayed at Atlantis on Paradise Island and they have everything.. a Comedy Club, Casino, Night Club (awesome), a theatre and a whole slew of things to do in the day as well. You don't have to stay there to enjoy the activities. There are waterslides, Dolphin Cay, I can go on and on so I also provided info & a link for them as well. Hope I helped some :)

Bahama Divers:
Dive sites include a Bahama Divers exclusive, the famous "Lost Blue Hole," a 200' wide natural opening in the ocean floor starting at a depth of 30' and descending to 200'. Intriguing wrecks with a fantastic array of colorful marine life. A 3,000 foot living wall on the "Tongue of the Ocean" that beckons experienced divers. And beautiful coral reefs like the "Fish Hotel" that provide an up-close encounter with numerous Bahamian reef fish, lobsters and other interesting marine life.

Atlantis:
• Atlantis, Paradise Island has the largest open-air marine habitat, second only to Mother Nature, with 11 million gallons of saltwater
• There are over 360 different species of sharks, which range in size from 45ft in the adult whale shark to 8-10 inches in the adult Pygmy Ribbontail Catshark.
• The Waterfeatures staff at Atlantis, Paradise Island comb the ocean 5-7 times per week to ensure that that animals of every variety populate the waterscape
• The fish that call Atlantis, Paradise Island home are fed approximately 1,000 pounds of food per day
• Atlantis, Paradise Island serves over 12,000 pounds of hamburgers per month.

There's a wonderful bus service costing one dollar per journey. You could stay on it and go round and round the island for all anyone cares, but you should get off and see the town and some of the beach resorts. The town is most impressive, with its old buildings. You should visit the Law Courts, Parliament Building, etc. I loved those old buildings! I don't know if the Botanic Park is fit to visit at the moment, after so many hurricanes, but if it is visitable, that is a must. The Bahamians are very stylish people and love to dress up, so their shops are worth visiting (but very expensive!) The harbour is fun, especially its straw market. There are some good restaurants in town. I would heartily recommend Cafe Matisse. Inspire yourself with this link:
