There were so many! Bill Haley and the Comets who started it all. Roy Orbison who is still a legend. Elvis? But I think I will agree, Buddy was one of the greats although I prefer the crooning of Orbison, who stole his style from the old black master song story tellers. However, when I read your question, "Wake up little Susie" by the Everly Brothers started running through my head. And one can never forget the fabulous Mr. Chuck Berry... or Fats Domino.
