I want to have some put on for the first time, and I'd really appreciate any words of wisdom you might have about them.

Solar nails are acrylic extensions. Maybe it's a brand name that my spa uses which explains why no one is familiar with it. Not sure!

Solar nails.. Funny term. I first thought they were like a normal nail but used to attach solar shingles to a house roof. I looked it up a while back to make sure I was not missing something.
Solar nails are similar to acrylic but are made with a slightly different product. They are not extensions like other acrylic nails because they are applied directly to your own natural nail.
And I thought it was a big manly product. lol
