Mike Martz was the former head coach of the St. Louis Rams...he is now the offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions.

martz is a great offensive mindset coach...best bet would be dallas...they are looking for the pazazz in the offensive that they haven't seen since jimmy johnson was there with the fab 3 (aikman, irvin, smith)....all esle fails he could work for the new steelers coach as an offensive coordinator...

A head coaching job in Dallas... or a Offensive Coordinator job in Dallas, since Garrett could be made the Head Coach.

Kevin Jones is out for awhile next year due to the leg... and If the lions were to draft a QB at number 2... Martz would have a lot of work to do to get him ready.

Matt Millen is eventually going to cause an uprising in Detroit... and i think this is the final year of his tenure... Martz may be replaced by the next GM.

any place outside of Detroit, even at the offensive coordinator role... would be a wise move.

If Mike Martz is reading this... you have me to thank.

It's not as much a career killer as you might think. Jon Kitna had a career year for yards thrown (though the TD-INT ratio leaves a bit more to be desired), Roy Williams had career highs in receptions and yardage (7 TD's too) and Mike Furrey broke out in a big way (98 receptions, 1086 yards...and of course he used to play for the Rams). Even Kevin Jones was starting to get into the mix until the injury. Unfortunately, none of it shows in the wins column, which I guess only makes sense in Detroit.

Coaches do well with players they're familiar with.. He might get reunited with another Rams player.. Kevin Curtis might show up at the Lions camp. Lions had some good offense this year and I think it's thanks to Martz. Career Killer might very well be coaching the Raiders at this point
