How far did you get? Get to meet Paula et al?

Yes i went to American idol in 2005, first of all, you have to go through 2 rounds before you can meet randy, Paula, & simon, lets just say i didnt meet them. but i really can sing. i was in chior through out highschool, and have won several medals, and have gone to state, and won 1st place, but apparently i wasn't what they were looking for. it was a great experience overall, even though i didnt make it pass the first round. but i definately don't regret it! If you plan on going, make sure your prepared for rain, (just in case), and that you can sing,( although they pick people who cant sing for the show that they air). Prepare for a long wait. we waited until 3:30-4:00 just to do the first audition when the auditions started at like 10:00-11:00. also the first 2 auditions you do are in the stadium on the field, and in front of 2 people who decide wheather you can go to the next round. you sing about 20sec. of music, and then they go to the next person in your 4 person group. when its all done they either keep you or say that your just not what there looking for. Yea I have been on AI whenever they went to Boston..I got eliminated in the audition rounds because I suck at singing but I did meet Paula...she's nice but Simon wasn't that mean...just said "Nope" and I just left, wasn't trying to get on TV.

I have the common sense to know that I can't sing to stay the hell away from the show.

yes. they wouldnt let me in the audition building with the elephant and all....
