Obviously, the CLIMATE (not the weather) had a rise in temperature, similar to the one we are having now.
Could the woolly mammoths have had technology we didn't know of? Did they use fossil fuels of an even earlier animal race, and by using these fossil fuels, raised the temperature of the globe and therefore caused their own extinction?
Are we following in their footsteps? Will we soon be extinct, like the woolly mammoth?

It is a natural cycle. Those dinosaurs must have had some really fast cars to make it so hot during their time.
Earth has gone through lots of hot and cold cycles and it will keep doing so.
We had a snowstorm in Phoenix last Sunday and it is the coldest January here too. Did global warming cause that?

The planet does have natural cycles. But if you talk to any climatologist that has been studying the climate for the last 30 to 50 years he or she would tell you that there has been a much faster and higher change in the climate globally than there ever has in the past since the ice age that you are talking about. They would also tell you that it is caused by humans. I don't know about you but I'd believe a scientist who studies this before I would oil industry talking heads working in the Bush administration.

It took thousands and thousands of years for the ice age to end - it is predicted that at this rate the entire ice cap on the north pole will melt in the summer in just 20-30 years. See the difference?
CO2 levels have NEVER been this high, and the increase started as soon as people started burning fossil fuels.
Grow up.

It's just a cycle, Hippie Hater. Two days ago forecasters was saying we was supposed to get a good snow fall Saturday. Now there saying just flurries. How do they know what the weather is gonna be like in a 100 years from now? They can't even get day to day accurate. If global warming is real, I say bring it on. My computer box says it is 15* outside right now.BUUURRRR
