If that's all she's doing and has no other problems that would make you think she's sick, then yes, it is probably just a growth spurt.

My 15 month old that was born 5weeks early has always been a sleeper, he currently sleeps a minimum of 13 hours a day (most kids start sleeping less at this age but not him!). It could be a growth spurt, if you are REALLY concerned then call your pediatrician or a nurse hotline. Good luck!

I dont know if it's a growth spurt but it's not unusual for babies to just all of a sudden start sleeping through the day! I have 6 kids so I should know! But my question to you is ~ is your baby staying awake more now at night (or waking up more) now that he/she has started sleeping so much during the day? ~ If so then you should try to make him/her stay awake more during the day so that he/she will sleep better at night! Otherwise you'll have problems getting them to go to bed on time when they are older and have a set bedtime! TRUST ME!!

I think it does sound like a growth spurt. Our 2 year old did the same thing. I took him to his doctor and it turned out to be a growth spurt.

If your baby is sleeping 3 or 4 more hrs than normal, I would contact the doctor. There are things that may need attention and only a doctor could tell. I am a nurse and i would consult with a doctor. There is no sense in taking chances. Be safe.

My daughter sometimes got in a habit where she would sleep most of the day at that age, and she also does that with eating too, even now she will go days without eating much so I think it's normal for them to go through times like this, but if you are concerned, there isnt anything wrong with calling the doctor to ask, for your peace of mind.

If you are concerned definately contact your doctor! But I remember when my daughter was little (she is now almost three!) she would have days where her nap would last all day. We always chalked it up to a growth spurt (I wish she would sleep all day now! ;) But definately, if it seems out of the ordinary for your child or you are worried, get it checked out; it wont hurt and it will put your mind at ease.

My little guy is 6 months previous and he went with the help of a era at type of an same time and we not in any respect really chanced on out what it become and he has on the grounds that been with the help of a era of an same and reduce a tooth so i might want to say that it will be his tooth entering into the gums waiting to diminish with the help of once he receives somewhat older. you would possibly want to also attempt to work out even if he will take somewhat extra milk as children will not at throughout eat and could in user-friendly words take what they want. If his tummy is demanding you would possibly want to attempt infant rubdown or on an extreme aspect change his milk. wish this facilitates! strong success!

my daughter is just now 11 weeks old and she has been "sleeping through the night" or day since she was like 6 weeks. each baby has different needs. my advice is enjoy it, it doesn't last that long.
