I think that denial is a big reason we sometimes ignore our common sense. Common sense will tell you the outcome of a situation before you even know the answer, but you'll deny it and wish for something different, totally ignoring it.

The brain is not totally mature until the mid twenties. Thus meaning that teenagers and those in the early twenties have a high surge of hormones but the part of the brain that communicates between the "passionate and soppy" and the "calculations and practical" sections... is not fully developed.

Therefore, at that age range, you are far more likely to have car accidents.

Stress and dietary factors can also affect that link between the two sections of the brain.

Probably when the basic psychological needs are not being met like food, water, shelter, sexual release or when we are in pain. I tend to do strange things when I am starving

FEELINGS, I mean we have all been in a situation where we know what to do, but we so feel like doing something else, and lots of the times we go with the FEELINGS.
