They are developing an immune deficiency drug for cancer and infectious diseases. Right now they are trading around .67 cents a share. Some analysts are rating them as a moderate buy. Would it be too risky to put $1000.00 into them? What's your opinion?

How much is $1000 worth to you? Is it a pretty minor portion of your portfolio. If so, maybe go for it. But looking them up on Yahoo finance, their situation looks dire. They have lost money hand over foot consistantly for the past 3 years. The only positive number on the cash flow statement is from selling more stock and with their stock sale price at 67 cents that won't last long. They do have a drug in phase 3 trials in US and Canada that is supposed douoble certain cancer survival rates. Go for it, but it is a gamble. By an amount you don't mind losing.

Yes it is very risky, Drugs take a very long time to get proven and most fall by the wayside. And the drug companies use up money like crazy during the developement stage. Put your $1,000 into something less risky.

Put it on a watch list with something like 65 shares of VPHM, or 415 shares of SVA, or just 90 shares of CHINA........compare 'em all in a week......go with a winner.
( I just sort of feel that " the cure for cancer" isn't going to come from a .67 a share company)
( but if it does ...that $ 1000. will be $ 1000,000.)
Good luck

Yes it would be risky for some big investors and have to wait for quite some time for it to rise to gain profits. If the research failed, it is a wastage of 15million for it. If it really succeed, the stock will soar. It really have to depend much on the researchers. For your investment of 1,000. I do not think is very risky. You can try your luck.
