What decade do you think made the best rock and roll?

I think the 60s did.

The 90's reinvented a number of genre's.

There was a lot of good rock and roll in the 60's, but I'm going with the 70's.

Rock and roll - that would be the 50's and early 60's. Rockabilly, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Chuck Berry.

By the late sixties, it was pyschedelic crap (see The Doors).

Hard rock (Zep) and metal (Iron Maiden/Judas Priest) ruled the '70's and '80's, to be replaced by thrash (Metallica) and grunge (Pearl Jam) in the '90's.

This decade seems to be undefined (post-grunge metal?) on the rock scene. No one is truly standing out from this country.

I would say the late 60s/early 70s (1967-74) was the best era of rock and roll, it all went downhill after that.

There's no doubt about it. It was the 60s. If you consider that the 60s had The Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and MOTOWN, ain't no way any other decade can touch it.

Well most people would choose the 70's or 80s but I LOVE 90s rock.
