you seem to be under the mistaken impression that 5000 years ago society did not exist.

People then were at least as civilized as they are today, they lived in cities, wrote great works and had a fully developed economic system.

Actually God did exist 5000 years ago, so possibly did Judaism, though most scholars place it's rise to about 4000 years ago.

try 500,000 years ago, it's more appropriate to your question.
