There's this guy at my gym, he's actuaaly a trainer there, and my problem, is the fact that I don't know if he's flirting with me or not.For instance, around christmas, he came up to me and asked me how my holidays and I told him it was okay, then he asked me, who did I spend it with. And then there was another occasion where he came up to me and told me I looked sad, and wanted to see me smile, and as I was leaving asked me when will I be back.I'm thinking , well maybe he's just being friendly, but he's always telling me to text message him for trainer sessions, and i told him several times, I'm a broke *** college student, and I cannot afford them, but then he's still asking me to told me to call him on his cell phone for a free session, and he told me not to worry about it...and so i told him I would let him know but he will text me, and tell me that he wants to hook me up, and money is no problem, so I booked the free session, but my question is why is he being so pushy

On one hand he may be flirting. But, he is skirting on the outside edge of low key there.
On the other hand he may be trying to gain a relationship to maintain clients. Because, if his clients like him they will keep coming to the gym.
Just ask him are there other interest besides the business related ones.
As a person that is in sales I have learned that sometimes it can be misconstrued when you are talking to the opposite sex.
Good Luck.

I am a skeptic- I think those people are just doing their jobs, flirting with ladies, being interested because they are being paid to keep you going and paying.
He may be genuinely interested, but I have a feeling he is just working to sell the gym and/or himself. I can't explain it, but I've seen guys do that to my girlfriends and it turned out the guy was just looking for a fan base, and they did it with other girls too.
Sorry, but good luck- I hope I'm wrong.

I'm thinking if he works FOR the gym he is talking you up for a membership. if he works independently from the gym and trains his own clients...then he sounds like he is into you (but the way he is acting sounds a bit creepy to me), and has no idea how to make a move to ask you out.
he is comfortable on his own turf, the gym. so he is trying like crazy to get you into his comfort zone. but because you act like he's shady...he backs off.

be up front with him. just say, im sorry if this hurts your feelings but i don't understand why you are offering these free sessions...and always wanting me to come in. are you just being nice? or what?

He seems really creepy to me. He might have seemed nice at first, but since you barely know him and he is acting a little stalker-ish, I would probably back away. Make sure you don't give him any personal information about yourself (like where you live!!) because I'd be weary of him following me home.

I think he would like to be your personal trainer all right, but not just in the gym.. SURE he's hitting on you, I used those lines when I was a puppy...*

You are being stupid!!! When i was losing weight i fell madly in love with my fitness trainer. If you like him then do the fitness lessions. If you are broke then why are you on the computer? Stop wasting your internet connection and work out with him already.

Those are lines.. I used to use them all the time.. Now on the pushy part.. You might want to be cautious of that..
