Close.

If the equation was y = -4, you'd be correct.

If you graphed x = -4, it would be a straight up and down line that goes through -4 on the x - axis.

Since this up and down line would never cross the y axis, (it would be parallel), it has no y intercept.

Since it goes straight up and down, it has an undefined slope. (It has an infinite rise and a run of 0.)

Still wishing you luck with the twins.

x = -4 is a vertical line, so there is no slope (it's undefined).
The y-intercept is almost correct; it should be (-4, 0).

To prove that there is no slope, take any two points on the line.

(-4,0) and (-4, 4)

m = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)
m = (4 - 0) / (-4 - (-4))
m = (4)/(0), which, as you can see, is undefined.

the slope would actually be 0/-4, not undefined. this would cause a vertical line on (-4,0) if it was undefined there would be a horizontal line and y would =-4 not x

that's a vertical line, it has no y intercept as it runs parallel to the y axis.
The x intercept is (-4,0)
The slope is undefined.
